Request for Qualifications - Communications & Engagement - CLOSEDThe purpose of the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to formally identify a knowledgeable vendor with appropriate qualifications and relevant experience to provide First 5 Yuba with a comprehensive communications plan that will be used in alignment with and enhance the implementation of the First 5 Yuba 2021-2026 Strategic Plan.
The purpose of the communications plan will be to strategically articulate and disseminate information to support First 5 Yuba’s goals. A localized communications plan will provide a blueprint that will allow First 5 Yuba to deliver strategic messaging and increase community knowledge about the tools, resources, programs, and services available to families. The vendor should identify and implement both innovative and current strategies to increase awareness and reach families through various outlets such as print, digital, social, and mass media outlets. In addition, the RFQ will seek to enhance one centralized online access point to strengthen coordinated systems and enhance communication strategies with families, childcare providers, partners and child advocates. Proposal deadline is October 13, 2021 at 5:00pm - CLOSED RFQ Guidelines Mini Grant Program for 2021-2022 - CLOSED irst 5 offers mini grants of up to $4,000 for individual short term projects that benefit children 0 through 5 years of age and their families in Yuba County. Applications will be evaluated based on the projects potential to meet goals and priorities stated in Commission's strategic plan. An application submission does not guarantee award of funding. Awards are available until February of the current budget year or until the current fiscal year’s budgeted mini-grant funds are depleted. Please contact the office for more information.

Community Education and Outreach Sponsorship ProgramEvery fiscal year First 5 sets aside funding to sponsor local events and community activities. First 5 will sponsor up to one (1) event per agency per fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). Event sponsorship is provided up to $1,000 per event. Sponsorship's will be awarded until the current fiscal year’s budgeted sponsorship funds are depleted. First 5 will evaluate requests based on the event’s potential to meet goals and priorities stated in Commission's strategic plan. A request for sponsorship does not guarantee award of funding. Strategic Partnership Program The First 5 Yuba County Children and Families Commission committed $1,341,000 ($447,000 annually) of Proposition 10 funds for fiscal years 2021/2022 – 2023/2024. Strategic Partnerships were awarded in June 2021. Unsolicited Funding ProposalsFirst 5 Yuba is not accepting unsolicited funding proposals at this time.
