TRIPLE-P: Positive Parenting Program

Parenting Education provide essential tools and knowledge, empowering parents to raise confident, healthy, and well-adjusted children. Through parenting education, you can:

  • Enhance parental empowerment and competency

  • Foster positive parenting practices

  • Strengthen social connections

  • Improve parent-child interactions

  • Promote better child behavior

  • Reduce the use of corporal punishment and risk of abuse

  • Boost parental mental health and well-being

Peer support groups for parents offer immense value by providing a sense of community and shared experience. These groups:

  • Reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness

  • Provide emotional support and understanding from others who face similar challenges

  • Encourage personal growth and confidence in parenting abilities

  • Create opportunities for building lasting friendships and social networks

  • Improve overall mental health and well-being through shared experiences and mutual support

Coffee with Momgias is your village! Whether you're a mom, stepmom, auntie, grandma, or anyone embracing the mom role, this ongoing group is for Yuba County caregivers with kiddos ages 0-5. Come for the coffee, stay for the self-care and wellness—because taking care of you matters too!

  • Meets every other week, November to March

  • 1114 Yuba Street, 2nd floor, Marysville 

  • 9:00am-10:30 AM

  • November 5 & 21, December 3 & 17, January 7 & 21, February 4 & 18, March 4 & 18

Caregiver Cafe is an ongoing group dedicated to Yuba County FFNs. What's an FFN? it's a Family, Friend or Neighbor that takes care of/babysits a child ages 0-5. 

  • Meets Monthly at 1128 Yuba Street, in Marysville

  • 9:30-11:00 am, 3rd Thursday of each month  

Happy Feet is a weekly walking group for expecting parents, new parents and/or parents & caregivers with young children. 

  • Meets Weekly, March to October at Edgewater Park in Marysville.

  • 9:00 am-10:30 am, Every Wednesday

Father's Matter: Cornhole in the Park is an ongoing group dedicated to Yuba County fathers and father- figures.

  • Meets Twice a Month, March to October at Gavin Park in Marysville

  • 5:30-7:00 pm, the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month 

The Blue Shift Project of Yuba-Sutter provides: 

  • Help for pregnant and parenting individuals in the perinatal period and beyond

  • Partnership with families to develop support plans and coping strategies

  • Connection to treatment providers and other resources if desired

Hands on learning for caregivers is at the heart of First 5 Yuba programs. Through playgroups and school readiness activities, you'll gain practical experience with child development while building connections with other families.
