WHAT'S A PLAYGROUP?
A playgroup is a gathering of similarly aged children and their parents or caregivers. These regularly scheduled groups support children's social development, ease the transition to school, and improve overall health, while also providing social and health support to parents, knowledge sharing, and learning opportunities.
First 5 Fridays
First 5 Fridays are a joint venture with First 5 Yuba and the Yuba County Library and are held the first Friday of every month at 10:00am. The purpose of this group is to create a space for children 0-5 to come together to play and for parents/caregivers to:

Gather information about community events & services

Ask question about their child's development and milestones

Learn fun ways to help their child learn and grow.
Each month will have a different theme and a fun activity for children to participate in and/or take home. No registration. Just show up!
1st Friday of every month at 10:00 am.

Adapted Physical Education
Adaptive Physical Education is an interactive program for Yuba County children with special needs, ages 3-5.

Held the 1st and 2nd Wednesday of the month, from November -January at Tri-Counties Community Center.
Activites include:

November: Parachute Play, Cup Stacking, Bowling & Obstacle Courses

December: Balloon Tennis, Ball Games, Golf & Beanbag Toss

January: Hockey, Scooter Board Races, and Soccer

Help Me Grow Playgroups
Help Me Grow Playgroups, funded by First 5 Yuba County, are Playzeum's structured playgroups, meant to connect and educate parents/caregivers and offer a playful environment for children to socialize and learn.
Playgroups are offered weekly in a variety of Yuba County locations and are FREE to Yuba County families with children 2 months to 5 years. A $20 materials fee is required for the 18 week session but scholarships are available for anyone in need.

PALS Playgroups
PALS Playgroups, Funded in part by First 5 Yuba County, are an opportunity for children with special needs to participate in a playful environment to socialize and learn while connecting and educating parents/caregivers.
Playgroups are offered monthly and open to children with special needs, ages 0-5 years. Playgroups are hosted in English but families speaking all languages are welcome.
